ABOUT
Airoma Apothecary is an imaginary company that provides subscription-based services with various items that one would find at an apothecary. The thought of intermingling scented goods and mail order subscriptions inspired part of this project, but I wanted to consider how these items might appear in a physical store as well. After nearly a thousand paper-cuts, I finished with fully branded packages for cone incense, candles, and essential oils.

To hone in on a look and feel even further, I began to work on a series of sketches. I decided to name the imaginary brand “Airoma". I first began by messing around with letterforms and seeing what could be done with them. From there, I decided how some of the boxes should look in order to accommodate whatever was being packaged.

To get a general idea of what dimensions were required and what forms worked better than others, I created a variety of paper rough-drafts exploring different forms.
final results
Once I found a set of die-lines that worked the most successfully, I applied the branding. I thought an outdoor photoshoot would ring true to the tone of the brand.
